Dargan Childcare Ltd Staffing Policy is to run at higher rate of staff - child ratio than Ofsted requires, we recruit qualified staff on the basis of being NVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher levels. We operate above requirements to ensure cover for staff daily breaks, holidays or absence. We ensure your child will form relationships with a small group of staff who provide excellent continuity. We run a key person system and all children are allocated a key person when they start and when they move to a new room. We also employ student childcare practitioners at various levels.

Our experience cook is fully trained in hygiene, food handling and nutritional needs of young children.

We aim to ensure all staff hold a qualification in paediatric first aid and food hygiene.

We highly value our staff; it is in the interest of the nursery, the children and the individual that each staff member is given the opportunity to develop their personal skills to their maximum and to broaden their knowledge and skills in caring for children, each staff member is given a continuous personal development file.

We ensure that all our staff go through the required Criminal Record Bureau vetting (CRB). Dargan Childcare Ltd ensures through the recruitment process that staff are of integrity and good character.
