Our Cuisine


Here at Wishing Well our fully trained cooks cater to your children in our 5 star Environmental Health rated kitchen with an exceptional nutritionally balanced diet, providing your child with their 5 a day fruit and vegetables, and sourcing local products to use in our meals, alongside this we also grow our own fruit, herbs and vegetables in our garden patches in which your children have a hands on input in.

We cater for children’s dietary requirements and offer delicious vegetarian options, as well as alternatives for allergy requirements. Our seasonal menus’ run through the spring/summer and are then swapped to our autumn/winter selections, each menu runs on a three week cycle. The weekly menu is rotated so your child will experience all the meals we offer no matter how many days they attend. Our food runs through the day with breakfast, snacks, a two course lunch and tea. Meal times are very important to us as a group.

At our meal times we encourage polite table manners and etiquette as it is an important step to prepare them for life beyond the nursery such as school and home. In our Three Plus and Nursery Classrooms your child will begin to self-serve their own meals with assistance from our staff and will become ‘helpers,’ this initiative allows your child to help our staff in setting up the tables ready for meal times, this has proved widely popular with both parents and children as it promotes a sense of independence with the children. Your children also have fresh drinking water available to them throughout the day and are provided individual drinking bottles.
